The FALL MEMBERSHIP DRIVE begins Friday, October 16th at 6 am and goes through October 24th. You can show your support to the station by becoming a new member, renewing your membership, or making an extra gift during the Harvesting a Community of Support drive.
For this campaign, we are partnering with Price-Rite Supermarkets and will offer an opportunity to benefit the most needy of our community. When a gift is made to WDIY at the $88.10 level, a case of canned soup will be delivered in the donor’s name to the SECOND HARVEST FOOD BANK of the Lehigh Valley and Eastern Pennsylvania. You have the chance to help feed the hungry of our community, while supporting Lehigh Valley Community Public Radio.
Your Financial Choices WDIY 88.1 FM and Valley National Financial Services collaborate to present a weekly personal finance program called Your Financial Choices with host Laurie A. Siebert, CPA, CFP. The program will debut on September 30 and be aired each Wednesday from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The show is designed to help educate listeners about various financial issues and encourage them to properly manage their financial well being. During the show, Siebert will field both phone-in and email questions. She will also feature a variety of in-studio guests representing Lehigh Valley businesses.

WDIY Staff Spotlight
WDIY 88.1 FM thanks operations director, Neil Hever, for eleven years of service and contribution to the station!
Neil began his radio career as a student disc jockey at Muhlenberg college radio station WMUH during in 1978. After earning a B.A. degree from the college, he spent the next 13 years in commercial radio and sound production at WSAN, Creative Sound studios, and later WAEB.
In 1981, while attending Muhlenberg College, he and another community member joined together to form the first organized group of community radio volunteers in the Lehigh Valley. The group began incorporation meetings in 1984 and spent the next decade building support for a new community based station.
WDIY 88.1 FM began broadcasting in 1995. Neil joined the staff in August of 1997 as Program Director and was promoted to Operations Director in February 2008. His duties include training volunteers, maintaining the broadcast facility and schedule, organizing the production studio and music library maintenance.
Happy anniversary, Neil!!

WDIY BUILDING-TO-ENDOWMENT FUND
The Lehigh Valley Community Broadcasters Association established
a Building-To-Endowment (BTE) Fund for WDIY-FM in January 2007 as WDIY completed
twelve years of broadcasting and entered its next stage of development. This BTE
fund is designed to do just what its name says: build an endowment for WDIY. As
our organization continues to grow and develop, an endowment fund is critical to
our financial future. Once established, investment income from this endowment
will help Lehigh Valley Community Public Radio fund special projects and meet
unexpected financial needs.
Quick Facts
* BTE Fund target: $15,000
* Minimum Contribution: $300
* Contribution Type: Cash (check), stocks or bonds.

WDIY IS MY SOURCE FOR...
We want to know from our members how they would complete
this simple sentence:
WDIY is my source for......
We are looking for WDIY members, musical performers and listeners
who want to share their special "WDIY moment" with us and our audience.
WDIY has been invited to be part of National Public Radio's exciting and
new outreach campaign called "My Source" - see mysourcefor.org for
information about the project.
It's all about spreading the good word on how important public radio
stations are to the communities they serve and the unique way a station
like WDIY fits into your life.
- Is WDIY your source for programming you can't get anywhere else?
- Is WDIY your source for accurate news and information.
- Is WDIY your source for musical inspiration?
- Or is WDIY just plain fun to listen to?
We would like to record your story and put it on the air. If you want to tell
us your story, please drop us a line at mysource@wdiy.org. This way we can schedule your taping
session that evening. (Don't be nervous, it will be fun.)
After reviewing your WDIY My Source story, we will contact you to make
arrangements for you to come into the studio for a recording session.
THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING WDIY!
