Heroes
Any woman who dares to be beautiful in who she is, without feeling she has to destroy herself in subtle ways before she can be accepted. Any woman who dares to love herself. Any person who chooses to be proud of who he/she is. Anyone who understands the importance of putting ethics above aesthetics.
Welcome to the myspace profile for We Bite Back! This community represents hope to people with eating disorders.
We are not pro-anorexic. We are not doctor/therapist-run, either. We are by the people, for the people.
We are a community of people from over seventy one countries (and growing) who are actively choosing to bite their eating disorders back. (Orange you glad???)
Show your support for the Orange by adding us on your myspace! Tell Ana to go suck a lemon - join the orange revolution of hope!
Check out our Essays section and submit some writing of your own if you like.
Who I'd like to meet: People recovering from eating disorders, or just thinking about it. Eating disorders affect people of any age, race, class, or region. They are becoming more common, and it's important to establish strong support networks to help you stay strong.
You don't have to have an eating disorder to add this profile to your friends - just be supportive of a growing community-based approach to eating disorder recovery. Alone, no one can do this. Together, we can all bite back.
Be good to yourself! Live well, be happy, and find balance!
Cheers,
Muse
