we all went to france and wrote some songs. it was hot, we were in the middle of nowhere and there was plenty of cheese and wine. we went swimming, went on bike rides, went to super-u, and crashed into a telegraph pole.
upon our return we recruited ads to play trumpet and started to play gigs.
we played our first show at the ultimate picture palace in oxford on the 2nd december 2007.
we have played regularly around oxford, brighton and london since we started out, notably at truck festival and the first owl parliament at the union chapel.
we've shared stages with: why?, little wings, jonquil, laura marling, johnny flynn, herman dune and jeff lewis amongst others.
we've received heavy rotation from 'bbc oxford introducing' and been played on radio 1 by huw stephens.

Hi James, no worries on the delayed response. Not sure if I'm going to be able to make it to the gig on the 13th, as I'm currently in the states for the week, and that's the day I'm flying back to London! So, if I can manage an early enough flight, I'll be there! Very jet-lagged, but there nonetheless! Best cure for jet-lag is a pint of lager, right? ha. If not, will you be going to see Johnny and Jeremy the next night? You should! It should prove brilliant.
Congrats, you've made it into our top ten tunes for May. Check out our blog for other runners and ryders!
NEW - we'll also be DJing the best new tracks (as picked by Daisy and Hot) at our club nights in Oxford. Get yourself down to hear some crackin new tunes at our next gig on the 9th July!
Hello hello, so I just saw that you were playing at the Jericho Tavern on the 13th...I'm coming on the 14th to see J. Flynn and the Wit, and I'm going to come to Oxford to see you guys, too! I've never been there, so I hope there's something exciting to do if I'm spending two days?? haha
Hi Tom, thanks. As you may be aware, i fucking love we aeronauts. It's mainly because you are ACE.
Those demos on our page aren't quite representative of us, as we're a heck of a bit louder and more energised with the full band (need to get in the studio!) but thanks for the kind comments :-) i shall no doubt meet and greet you sometime very soon. M
Thanks, I feel truely honoured that so many of you have now commented on my myspace :) I see you are playing a show in london in may (around about the time that I'm going) might see you there! The CD you made me is really good by the way! love it!
I'm currently working on some art right now so when I manage to do something passable I'll send it to you...
