"We Ain't Broke Yet" was written by Mark O'Dell and Andrew Ascosi, both members of the of Agora Financial team in Baltimore, Md. The song was inspired by Bill Bonner and Addison Wiggin's New York Times best-selling book, Empire of Debt, which in turn, inspired the soon-to-be-released documentary, I.O.U.S.A. (Sundance Film Fest 2008.) ...Like the book and movie, the song calls attention to America's four major deficits Federal; Trade; Savings and Leadership — and asks the questions, "Has fiscal irresponsibility become an irreversible part of American culture… and can it continue indefinitely? Basically... “Do we need what we don't have, do we have what we don't need?”
Mark O'Dell & Andrew Ascosi play and record music regularly together and with various bands throughout the Baltimore area and beyond. Check'em out:
