About me:

Welcome to “Transforming Your Life”

My name is Kris Badra,

and I am the creator and author of

Get Paid Today Marketing and

Wealth and Health For You

http://www.getpaidtodaymarketing.com

..http://www. wealthandhealthforyou.com ..

Let me tell you the reason why I started this MySpace page. I've worked the 8-5 routine.  How about you?  I've been in mental health, education, government, and non-profits. I've discovered that I much prefer being my own boss. Working from home. Choosing my own hours. Not having to deal with traffic. More time with my family, friends, and activities I love.  Would any reasonable person say no to being in charge of his or her own life?

As a therapist (both mental health and substance abuse), I loved helping people, but my salary was too low, the hours too long, and the rules too confining.  I had very little choice about the clients I saw.  Leadership made production quotas and other demands that felt very demeaning to myself and the other therapists.  Our job was to  "bring in the money" with little regard for the quality of our work. I didn't want to work that way anymore.  I felt that was a huge dis-service to people in need of compassion and quality care.

I was working the typical job.  Job also stands for something else most of us can understand. Just Over Broke.  Do you know that feeling?  Maybe living from paycheck to paycheck?

So, I decided I needed to look for something else, and that's when I decided to start my own internet business.  That's also why I created this MySpace profile so that I can meet, network, and give back to other new entrepreneurs who are in the same situation I was in.  I'm hoping that my story will inspire you to discover a career alternative, just like I did, when I started working from home, making money online and through seminar presentations, and being my own boss.

But before I tell you about how you can be your own boss, have control of your money, and enjoy more freedom in your life, let me tell you a bit more about myself.

I am an entrepreneur, network marketer, psychologist, mother, partner, friend, sister, ex-wife, teacher, mentor, traveler, gardener, cook, kayaker, political junkie, observer of people and of life. I worked as a therapist/psychologist for many years, and love seeing people grow into their potential.  I loved seeing my clients decide to make positive changes, figure out how to do that, and then make those changes and succeed.  I finally gave myself some of my own advice, and pursued my dreams.

I also was busy raising my beautiful daughters (with my ex-husband's help that is).  My daughters are both grown now, and recently graduated from college. They have inspired me, challenged me, worried me (like last summer when  my youngest decided she had to go to Lebanon for 6 weeks to work on her senior project).  That was down right nerve wracking for me.  But I survived it all, continue to learn from them, and cherish the time I get to spend with them.  As I've told many a client who has struggled with parenting - being a parent is the hardest job you will ever have - and I truly believe that.

Along the way I also went to graduate school and received two Masters degrees, one in Organizational Communication and one in Counseling Psychology.  Seeing in theory how organizations can be managed, and then being in the reality of it, and seeing how poorly the ones I worked for actually were managed was very, very frustrating.  A joke around the office used to be "that would make too much sense to do it that way".  The most recent organization I worked for seemed to lack a true long term goal.

Let me give you an example. Over the course of three years, I went from working several days a week in the public schools doing outreach counseling and running grief groups, to running an after school program, to developing a program for children of alcoholics, to becoming a mental health and substance abuse therapist, working almost exclusively with adults.  Changing with the times, and the needs of the community, and to whatever way the wind was blowing at this organization. I have always considered myself to be flexible, and in fact, like new challenges, but I much prefer them to be challenges of my own choosing rather than having them placed on me.

And the pay, well, suffice it to say was lousy.  Not nearly enough, and far from what my skills, knowledge and wisdom, combined with my sense of humor, my giving nature, and my all around friendly presence deserved.  (I like saying nice things about myself - but I try not to let it go to my head!)

I didn't want to be a part of that culture anymore.  I loved my co-workers, great therapists all, and most of my clients, but I had had enough.  I was ready to make those changes, that transformation I kept encouraging in my clients.

So  I went online in search of a new job, and I found one.  Marketing a financial education product.  A chance for the average middle class person, like myself, to learn how to get out of debt, manage their money, make more money (the possibility of a lot more money), and start living the life of their dreams.

I did some research, and it took me a while to determine that I was ready for this challenge, this huge change in thinking. After all, I thought to myself - isn't this a little Risky, Suspect, Pyramid Scheme Like?  What would my friends and family think?   They would think that I was the one with a screw or two loose.  You need therapy girl!  What are you thinking????  Well, to tell you the truth, at first, I was a little embarrassed.  I really didn't understand what I was doing.  I had SO MUCH TO LEARN. But I thought to myself, "This is about my life, not theirs, and I believe I can be successful, so what does it matter what they think?"

I needed to learn about the product and how to market it.  I had to learn about online marketing. Not exactly familiar terms to someone who spent their day talking with kids and adults about the problems in their lives.

At first I was a little overwhelmed.  I believed in my product, in fact used it myself to help pay off my mortgage more quickly, and to get my business established. With the savings from reconfiguring my mortgage, I was able to have more capital to start my business.

Fortunately, everyone I came in contact with was very supportive.  They let me know what my results could be, but didn't sugar coat the effort I would need to put in - at least initially. That's what is so cool about this business.  I'm not out here doing it by myself.  I don't have to re-invent the wheel, it's been done already by many master marketers.  I have met some incredible people from across the globe.  People who I can share ideas with, share family stories with, commiserate with about the state of the world!  I've made some great new friends.

I'm able to connect with others for support and suggestions. I have spent a lot of time sitting in on conference calls and attending webinars.  I read training materials, books, and listen to DVDs.  I learned (and am still learning) the technology.

At times I got discouraged.  It was taking a lot of time and effort. But then I would focus back on my goals of living the life of my dreams, and I would be re-inspired.  Besides that, I had worked hard in every other job I'd had, so why not this one?  After all, I'm my own boss.  The rewards have been fantastic.  I feel so much better prepared to handle the future knowing that I have my own business which offers others the chance to improve their qualify of life, and reduce their fears of their financial futures.

I encourage you to take a look at my websites below.  You can find out more about Wealth Masters International (WMI), and how they are creating new millionaires each and every year.  How does that sound to you?  Would you like to be included?  Through our financial education and wealth creation products, you can prepare for the future, and not have to worry about whether you'll actually receive all that Social Security money you've paid into, or wonder whether your employer's pension plan will stay sound.  You will learn how to make a higher income, see that income grow, and become financially independent.

Through WMI's "Six Steps To Freedom" you will have access to some of the country's most successful financial advisors.  Need to get some of the equity out of your home?  Have a credit problem?  Too much debt?  Want to fund your child's education, or your retirement?  Feel like you are paying too much in taxes?  Want to leave a financial foundation for your children?  Want to be inspired?

Who I'd like to meet:

People who are ready to change their lives,
and willing to put in the effort to do so.

People who are excited about life,
and want to explore new possibilities.

People who see the glass as half full, rather than half empty.

People who can listen, see the big picture,
and help others achieve their dreams.

People who understand that by working together,
    we can achieve great things.

And most importantly,
    People who believe in themselves,
and in their ability to transform their own lives.

Aim for success, not perfection. Never give up your right to be wrong, because then you will lose the ability to learn new things and move forward with your life.
