About me:
Wealthy Theatre, 1130 Wealthy Street, was constructed in 1911 for vaudeville and live theater, and later became a neighborhood movie house. Currently the WT is owned and operated by the Grand Rapids Community Media Center (GRCMC) and continues to expand, grow and thrive in the heart of Wealthy Business District, and as part of Eastown, Grand Rapids. Wealthy Theatre has been recently upgraded with state of the art technology: concert-ready sound; robotic, remote-control, multi-camera, video recording on DVD; closed-circuit LCD Lobby monitors; brilliant digital projection on a new screen; and finally, a motorized grand curtain.
