The CANDYDA project takes its shape during the night of 31st December 2007 when, after drinking litres of expired sangria and after unproductive conversations about daily wordliness, two semi-unknown-stranger key-pressers discover to possess immortality.
When the alcoholic level decreases and the lustful illusion of eternal life is over, the shared taste for synthesized sounds and the desire to render their own thoughts as notes, bring them to undertake the way of electronic music. And so, after never-ending and exhausting afternoons, spent tuning the diverse musical styles, and after finding the right groove, the production rises up to stars and unceasing ideas appear from the creative minds of both of them, to be immediately rejected in favour of something even better.
That’s how songs like November Seabreeze come up, referred to the versatility between the musical genres of Candyda; Planet 39, a dancing and easy-listening composition, and Forgive and Forget, variations characterized by ambitious expectations.
The due introduces itself with the objective of writing down a new chapter in the history of electronic music and of spreading out like a plague through the people of the night.
El proyecto CANDYDA tomó forma en la noche del 31 de diciembre 2007 cuando, despues haber bebido litros de sangria caducada y conversaciones poco productivas de provincial mundanidad, dos casi-desconocidos descubren poseer la inmortalidad.
Una vez que el taso alcoholico se disminuyó, y perdida la ilusion de la vida eterna, el gusto comun a los dos por inéditos sonidos sintetizados y el deseo de reproducir como notas sus pensamientos, los hacen emprender la dirección de la música electronica. Asì, después de tardes interminables transcurridos afinando los diversos estilos musicales y una vez encontrado el correcto groove, la produccion sube a las estrellas e incesantes ideas de nuevas interposiciones emergen de las mentes creativas de ambos, pero se descartan por algo mejor.
Es asì que nacen canciones como November Seabreeze, que se refiere a la poliedricidad entre los generos musciales de los Candyda, Planet 39 una composición “easy-listening”, y variaciones del tema de ambiciosas expetaciones como Forgive and Forget.
El objetivo del dúo es escribir un nuevo capìtulo en la historia de la música electronica y difundirse como una llaga en el pueblo de la noche.
Il progetto CANDYDA prende forma durante la notte del trentun dicembre 2007 quando, dopo litri di sangria scaduta in tetrapak e discorsi poco producenti di provinciale mondanità quotidiana, due semi-sconosciuti schiacciatori di tasti scoprono di possedere l’immortalità.
Diminuito il tasso alcolico e persa la lussuriosa illusione della vita eterna, il comune gusto per inediti suoni sintetizzati e il desiderio di rendere sotto forma di note i propri pensieri, li induce ad intraprendere la strada della musica elettronica. Così, dopo aver trascorso interminabili ed estenuanti pomeriggi accordando i diversi stili musicali e una volta trovato il corretto groove, la produzione sale alle stelle ed incessanti idee di nuove interposizioni sequenziali emergono dalle creative menti di entrambi, per venir subito scartate per qualcosa di ancora migliore.
È così che nascono canzoni come November Seabreeze, riferimento alla poliedricità tra i generi musicali dei Candyda, Planet 39, composizione danzereccia ed easy-listening, e variazioni sul tema di ambiziose aspettative come Forgive and Forget.
L’obiettivo con cui si propone il duo è quello di scrivere un nuovo capitolo nella storia della musica elettronica e di diffondersi come una piaga tra il popolo della notte.
