Combine evocative lyrics with hypnotic harmonies and you have Diego. Described by Bristol's Venue magazine as “...a post-Coldsailorpatrol slice of twinkly, keening melodic indie-rock”, Diego are wowing audiences with their shape-shifting music.
Stemming from an initial collaboration of two like-minded songwriters strumming Bristol's open mic circuit, Diego evolved into a richer, rockier and intensely sensorial sound with the creation of a five-man masterpiece.
In 2009, Diego demonstrated their exceptional flair for performing around the Bristol area, including a headline appearance at the BARRS Festival and acoustic sessions at Starbucks and the Shepton Mallet Digital Arts Festival. 2010 will see Diego grow onto the wider UK music scene with a planned second EP, coupled with a UK tour and further festival sets.
"Spacious, shimmering, anthemic rock... what you certainly can hear is a band confidently finding it's roots, via some stately, wide-eyed pop that never loses sight of a tune in its quest for the epic... Music to watch planets to."4/5 stars - Venue magazine (read full EP review by Steve Wright)
"Their original songwriting and exceptional musicianship make them stand out from the crowd of new bands on the block" - Scrumpy 'n' Western magazine
"...judging from these early signs, Diego has the potential for great things. Make a note of the name and keep your eye on them for the future." - Louder Than The Music.com (read full EP review here)
