Generally heavy/thrash metal bands!
Sounds Like
Like four barnsley lads playing some heavy fucking metal that we enjoy...
You gotta problem wi it? FUCK OFF!!!
Dislocator formed back in early 2006 under the name of Sideproject and were the brain child of Tom Heeley, with Heeley on lead guitar, Andy "Jeph Frank" Walker on vocals and rhythm guitar, Rob Scarfe on bass guitar, and ultimately Mai Panezai on drums the band was initaially and excuse to jam, fuck about and drink excessively in the middle of the day!!!
When the band were offered their first gig they realised that with a week to the gig they had no songs and a lead guitarist and founding member who they couldn't get in touch with!!! The band quickly knocked together 3 songs and an extended introduction for the gig and played a setlist of Birth of A Monster, The Anthem Of Vittorio, After Forever, and Break The Boundaries...
After the gig the band continued to write material as a three piece and self produced/released their first EP Eye Of The Beholder, following a succession of gigs at The Arches the band released their now flagship song Fire for charity at around the same time Rob Scarfe dislocated his right knee, prompting the name change to Dislocator (which following the metal tradition (of bands such as Megadeth) was deliberately mis-spelled).
After a few more gigs and another c.d the band enlisted Sam Humphreys as their new lead guitarist, but due to other commitments Dislocator soon parted ways with Humphreys, and pushed on in their own direction... Some 2 c.ds later the band were still going strong as a 3 piece... After the bands recent hiatus they are now back writing and with a lead guitarist in place in the form of Richard Haigh.
Expect gigging to resume in the near future and new, heavier and better songs to be coming forth!
