| About Fahri |
Because I don't feel like bullshitting you so that you'll think we're cool, I'll instead give you a quick(and kinda lame) rundown on how Fahri came to be...Fahri formed from a drunken idea in the early Fall of 2004. We booked our first show before we had written any songs. This way, we'd stop just talking about it and actually do it. However, being the perpetual procrastinators that we are, we still waited two weeks before that show to write our first 4 song set. Besides the lack of time we'd put into practice and Adam's drum set falling over(it was a real piece of shit man) half way through our 2nd song, it went surprisingly well....and so we moved on. Shortly after, we asked our dear friend, Diane to play the bass for us. She had never played bass before but she agreed and honed her skills in about 2 weeks. We played some shows, mostly drunk and mostly in Milwaukee(cause they'll let anyone play in Milwaukee). A few months later, as most Lake County folk do, Adam got the wanderlust and decided to move to So.Cali. With tears in our eyes, we embraced Adam's manhood and said our goodbyes. However, we wouldn't think of letting him get away without recording our first demo. "Turkish Delights" was a compilation of seven songs, recorded live in April 2005, by Ian Lund, in his then living room. It happened very fast and we were still mixing the day before Adam's fight to Cali. After Adam left we replaced him with our friend Jaime, who shortly after left us for greater things.
But don't cry for us, all is well, later that summer, Neil filled the huge, terrible void in our lives and became our permanent drummer, and best friend. Since then we've released a three song s/t EP with Ionic records(available though download) and we are currently finishing up new material to bring into the studio for our first full length album......
