Typically for Myspace, this is basically a really stupid list of music that sounds nothing like what we do, and in no sensible order. Untypically, at least we're honest about it:
Biffy Clyro, The Futureheads, Radiohead, Bjork, Elbow, QOTSA, The White Stripes, Weezer, Skunk Anansie, Dresden Dolls, Thumpermonkey, Behold the Arctopus, Sikth, Lightning Bolt, Daugters, Fantomas, Early Genesis and Yes, King Crimson, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Claude Debussy, Sergei Rachmaninov, Don Caballero, Faraquet, Mogwai, Jeff Buckley, Arab Strap, Mew, Sigur Ros, Frank Zappa, Soft Machine, Brian Eno.
Sad to say, the Eggs have had to split up!
Though it would be fun to site artistic differences, the truth is Rael is too busy with film and T.V. music writing, Raph is focusing on his various function and covers bands, and Daniel on his drum teaching and studies.
The three members of Happy Eggs started out on different paths.
Guitarist / Singer Rael originally played indie / art rock, though this quickly turned into grunge, and eventually decomposed into out-and-out metal, as was the general pattern through the 90s. It was this (periodic) obsession with heavy, loud things that led Rael to an Alt Metal band called Mistaken ID, joining on drums in 2001 alongside bassist, Raphaël.
As a rhythm section the two fed off each other, and so the band became heavier and more rhythmically intense, until it all collapsed under its own foolishness in 2003.
Raphaël then spent a couple of years locked in his bedroom, writing thousands of metal riffs, occasionally leaving to play in a Beach Boys tribute band. Rael focused on guitar, and started to write high-energy rhythms within catchy song structures; but with no band mates, he was reduced to the rank of “solo studio artist.”
Realising that this was not the way forward, Raphaël and Rael started jamming again, and embarked on a search for a drummer.
One day, an e-mail was received from a Hungarian called Daniel:
"I have been playing and teaching professionally since 1997, and studied drums in Paris at the CIM Conservatoire. I played and recorded with a few major acts in Hungary, opened for Morcheeba, The Cure, Apollo 440, Faithless..."
This was clearly the guy for the job.
The trio got busy practicing, were razor tight to the point of autism, and burst forth upon the London Gig circuit in February 2007.
It all came crashing down in September 2007 when other commitments meant the eggs became scrambled, before they had chance to fully grow in the chickens. Bah.

Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy. How you guys doing, we really enjoyed playing the Dragon with you before. We've got some new tunes up. Check em out when you get a chance. Thanks.
Sorry to hear you guys have split up. I'm miffed I only saw you once (I was the very drunk man with Kate in Kilburn). I thought you were great and I know Kate is appalled to hear the news. Sarah will always have a very special place in both of our hearts. I'll be following your next moves like some creepy internet stalker. Chris
