OK, HERE IT IS : EVERYONE IN THIS BAND HAD BEEN INFLUENCED BY EVERYONE IN ROCK & ROLL FROM THE BEATLES ON AND THE LIST CAN BE ENDLESS........SO I WON'T GO THERE. BUT THE ONE AND ONLY REASON THIS BAND EVER CAME TOGETHER AND LASTED 5 YEARS WAS CENTERED AROUND ONE PERSON AND HIM ALONE : JESUS CHRIST OF NAZARETH, THE RISEN LORD OF THE UNIVERSE, THE KING OF KINGS AND THE LORD OF LORDS, BORN OF THE VIRGIN MARY, LED A SINLESS LIFE DOING GOOD, GIVING SIGHT TO THE BLIND, MAKING THE CRIPPLED WALK, RAISING PEOPLE FROM THE DEAD, WAS CRUCIFIED UNDER PONTIUS PILATE, GOVERNOR OF JUDEA WHO SHED HIS OWN PRECIOUS BLOOD FOR OUR SINS AND WAS RAISED FROM THE DEAD ON THE THIRD DAY ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES AND WHO ASCENDED TO HEAVEN WHERE HE SITS AT THE RIGHT HAND OF GOD ALMIGHTY MAKING INTERSESSION FOR US AS OUR FAITHFUL HIGH PREIST UNTIL THAT DAY IN WHICH HE COMES BACK TO THIS EARTH TO RULE AND REIGN OVER THIS EARTH WITH A ROD OF IRON, IN WHICH THEN AND ONLY THEN WILL THERE BE JUSTICE AND PERFECT PEACE AND HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS WILL FILL THE EARTH.........SO PREACH THE GOSPEL, TELL OTHERS AND MAKE DISCIPLES OF ALL THE NATIONS AND THEN THE END WILL COME.........Oh, by the way, we used to listen to alot of STRYPER!

Dated 80's Heavy Metal hair-band (Ronee's hair) who preached the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ
1986: In the aftermath of the demise of "Usurper" one of the Inland Empire's most brutal and notorious Heavy Metal acts of the mid-eighties, came "Witness" in which former Usurper bassist Ray Kilsdonk, having made a fresh re-commitment to following Jesus Christ of Nazareth, and having repented of the fast life of playing Hollywood clubs, extreme alcohol and cocaine abuse, (of which WE ALL WERE INVOLVED) and just about destroying his life and everything in his path, felt the call of our Lord and Saviour Jesus to start a new band, only this time it would be to share the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ to the same musicians and people in which Usurper played for and partied with. Former Toxic and Party Dolls drummer Jimmy Pena and Ray were both being called at the same time into this ministry as they would see each other on sunday mornings at Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside, Ca. Jimmy had become a christian some years before and had stopped playing drums and didn't even have a drum kit at the time. So Ray and Jimmy started talking and planning and praying to see what the Lord would put together. And He did.................About this time as Ray's daughter Heather was starting elementary school, Julie Kilsdonk met and became fast friends with Luanne Redding having met at school as Heather and Luanne's son Adam were in the same class. Unbeknownst to us was that Luanne was married to former Numbers vocalist Ken Redding - actually Ken was Ken Smith back in those days, and that's a whole other story. Numbers was one of Riverside's premier rock/theatrical acts rivaling the Tubes in the 70's and they were outrageous and definetly an assault on your senses. But Ken became a christian in 1980 and walked away from Numbers, and then starting the christian rock band The Omega Band which Ken was vocalist and guitarist for the next few years..............So when Ray heard that Ken was not in a band and that he was willing to talk - Ray jumped at the chance to have the former Numbers' vocalist on board and everything was coming together - except one thing - guitarist Ronee Pena and Jimmy's brother.................Ronee was the guitarist for the local Corona hard rock act Toxic, the impeteus behind the pseudo-punk act The Party Dolls, guitarist for the preppie new wave act The Conservatives and then the heavy metal gunslinger for Usurper and had just gotten married to Julie's sister Teri and was not a christian at the time but Ray was convinced that Ronee was the guitarist and that he was called to this ministry too, even though Ronee didn't want to have any thing to do with God let alone be a "chreestian" as Ronee used to call us. HA! well, God had other plans, and on a sunday morning sometime in late oct. or early nov. '86 after pastor Greg Laurie gave his message and invitation to recieve Jesus Christ, Ronee gets up and says "Hey, check this out" and goes into the prayer room to have a pastor pray for him to become a born-again christian, much to our suprise and shock, but not to God.................So now with the line-up complete, we converted Ray and Julie's Whipple St. house's garage into a rehearsal studio and the band spent the next year or so writing song's arranging them, putting a set together and buying guitars, basses, amps, drums and P.A. gear and meeting once a week for bible study on tuesdays and practice during the week and on weekends (and alot of BBQ's)..............So where God guides, God provides, and that He did, with everything the band needed and then some. GOD IS GREAT and he came thru for everyone..........I'll finish this story later.............
