Born out of necessity during a theatre festival at the University of Toronto -- seriously -- the improv troupe scheduled to perform failed to show up. So bravely and valiantly, new actors (and old friends) from various other participating shows came together in an act of sheer comedic genius: Kathleen Turner Overdrive was born.
Since their inception, KTO has been a mainstay in the University of Toronto theatre circuit, playing every opportunity handed to them, from headlining the likes of fundraisers to Frosh weeks; their ever-successful sketch comedy revues; and of course, back to their improv roots.
Sometimes scandalous, though always funny, KTO has nowhere to go but up. (No really, we're right down there at the bottom...)
