“M.L.S. is hard as hell!!!” Something you will definitely hear being chanted from the crowd during a show. Hailing from Sacramento, California’s capital city, M.L.S. – Major League Spittaz is a breath of fresh air for fans who listen to and still believe in the art of REAL Hip-Hop. Consisting of Monotone, Lou Slugga and Century, M.L.S. combines their skillfully articulated rhymes and lyrical content with the sounds of what Hip-Hop was like before Hip-Hop lost its way in the music industry. The foundation of M.L.S. was created in 2003 when Monotone was introduced to Lou Slugga and was immediately impressed with the sound of his flow, and lyrical content reminiscent of some of the biggest legends in Hip-Hop. The two formed the group S.O.S. along with 3 other emcees. Later the group disbanded, but Mono and Slugga remained a duo continuing to record music and rock crowds locally and regionally under their new name, M.L.S. In the summer of 2009, Slugga came across a HUGE surprise in a small package; Female MC, Century. Century packs a powerful voice, with the flows to match. A great addition to the already Major League sounds of M.L.S. December 2009, M.L.S. dropped their EP Target Practice. And they’re already hard at work in the studio getting ready to drop their album “Legendary Sharpshootaz” late spring 2010. “I hope our fans appreciate the lengths to the determination we put into crafting every track like a Michelangelo masterpiece. I want them to hear the beat and realize that the lyrics were crafted and tailored for that beat, and not just thrown on it” says Monotone, emcee and producer for M.L.S. With crowd pleasing tracks like “Hard”, “4,3,2,1” and “Sharpshootaz”, the new album “Legendary Sharpshootaz” will surely resonate as a CLASSIC amongst true Hip-Hop enthusiasts.
