Quiet was founded in the area of Andenne in 1998 through the meeting of Sélim Blieck and Sébastien Schmit with Jerome Henriette. In 5 years time, the band played a considerable lot of gigs all over the southern part of Belgium, reaching on their way the Concours Circuit finals in 2001.During that period, Quiet recorded 2 demos and 1 EP (A bitter place, Washday and From the bridge I se light) and incorporated Jerome monet in the Quiet team. This line-up had to split in the summer 2004.
After a 3 years long break, Quiet released a new demo, The Past Factory, for which the reviews were positively unanimous. On stage, the performances of the quatuor are impressively moving and powerful, mixing in turn melancholy, rage and nostalgia to express some kind of absurdity.
Quiet should find an audience among indie rock fans who might find in their music emo influences and a hypersensitivity recalling bands such as Blonde redhead, Chokebore or Elliott Smith.
Quiet is now working on a new EP that should be released in the course of 2009.
