Everything that we write is influenced by our faith in our lord Jesus Christ. But, here are some bands that have influenced us as well...Blink-182, Thrice, Yellowcard, Underoath, Jimi Hendrix, Classical Music, The Almost, Paramore, Flyleaf, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Relient K, Hillsong United, Jeff Deyo, All American Rejects, Green Day, My Chemical Romance, Misty Edwards, etc....
With the music scene changing and new sounds emerging, Unmasked came on the scene at the correct time. With a sound that blends blues, jazz, rock, pop and worship into a unique sound, Unmasked has been able to reach a variety of audiences. Unmasked formed in the the summer of 2007 and has performed over 150 shows together since then. In the first year of their coming together as a band, they walked away with a prestigious regional Shoutfest festival first place Battle of the Bands award. Having received recognition from music professionals in Nashville and Full Sail University, Unmasked continues to work on their art to present the best possible sound and presentation as their bassist says “to give the very best to our King.”
With three song writers in the group, they bring a great variety of thought provoking topics to the table. Each of the writers, feel that their songs are inspired by the Holy Spirit through times of personal prayer and reflection and are meant to touch this generation. Deborah said, “music influences and moves people and my generation needs music that will inspire us to not be trapped by the enemy and to rise up and be a revolution.”
Unmasked has toured on the East Coast and played at the famous Cornerstone Festival as well as recently returned from a International Youth Conference in Bogota Colombia. When asked where they prefer to play, the comment was: “Any door opened to us small or large we just want to get the message of Jesus Christ out to anyone and everyone that will listen.” Unmasked is a group on a mission as their myspace url says: www.myspace.com/wearerevolutionists
