Stars of the Lid are easily one of the most important and influential bands or our times. Read a review of any ambient or experimental band these days and you will see their name being dropped, and it’s not hard to hear why. Stars of the Lid are masters of weaving sonic textures gorgeously into beautiful, absorbing, minimalist epic drones, wavering between subtly mournful and gloriously triumphant, offering the perfect soundtrack to lucid daydreaming.

Hear Stars Of The Lid play in Newcastle in a perfect church setting for this very special show.

I shall certainly attend tomorrow, I got paid early so I have pennies and shiny shoes! Also if anyone has space in a car going to see/play at the last Sailors gig can I sit in it? I'd like to come, petrol contributions and boiled sweets would be provided. Super.

SEMINAL AQUACADE - a new A5 zine from Leeds by the makers of legendary zines such as Soda Pressed, Big Dead Thing, Obsolete Feat and others whose names I've forgotten.

In the 48 pages, you will find:

- A drunken interview with Anticon's SJ Esau
- another with Fatcat's No Age, again drunk.
- An article by P.Steere aka 'Yorkie' on the ultimate Friday night mixtape featuring Void, Misfits, No Trend, Black Flag, Van Halen, Wipers, Melvins, Flipper and loads more.
- NO record or live reviews
- An account of a trip to PrimaveraSound festival and Gringo records 10th anniversary gig by the alcoholic comedian masquerading as a wordsmith; Daniel Robert Chapman.
- Nicholas Bannerman forcibly extracts occasionally misguided though meticulously articulated rants of personal opinion from Nicholas Jones - who is a brilliant writer.
- A complete disregard for proof reading (first run only - v. limited!).
- Hello Roy G! - a surreal and sick comic debut from Stroidy. "That's genuinely entertaining" - Nick Jones "You're sick" - Daniel Robert Chapman. "lol" - Everyone who has read it.
- Plus gushes on Times New Viking, Persona (film), Planet Records, Norman Records, Crescent, Late Junction (Radio), Mew and Random Rules (Leeds club night).
- illustrations by Jon Owen, Kieron Piercy and Nick Bannerman. As well as an excessively beautiful front and rear cover in full colour.

Order now for £1.20 including 2nd class postage now from Lonk Lonk Lonk's myspace.

Thanks for the quick reply. What we're doing atm is really building our new music catalogue, because we go for launch in a few weeks and frankly, we have a crap amount of cd's and its all mostly the stuff we hear on radio 1. What we're trying to do is to be different, to be mostly about new music around the globe from all genres. Thats why we're adding people on myspace and asking if they want to send in some of their tracks into the studio. We have a big music team that listens to them, reviews them in different genre types, and if its good... we'll give it to our presenters!

So if you don't mind sending us a sample of your stuff when its ready, unfortunatly we don't accept mp3's, send it to
