About me:
S.W.A.N.K. (Sex Workers Action New yorK) & SWOP-NYC (Sex Workers Outreach Project - NYC) is a group of radical, current and former sex workers who are committed to building community and providing support to sex workers and our allies.
We identifity as sex-positive, gender-inclusive, radical, queer-positive, kink and BDSM-friendly, critical of capitalism (though not necessarily anti-capitalist).
We are opposed to and don't tolerate any form of oppression, including but not limited to: stigmatization, stereotyping, homophobia, racism, ageism, sizeism, transphobia, sexism, and patriarchy.
Some our goals include:
- Community-building activities like dinners and brunches
- Forming alliances with like-minded groups and individuals
- Authoring zines and resource guides
- Eventually establishing a by- and-for-sex-worker health clinic, education center ("St. James East"), and safe space
- Reaching out to the community at large by promoting openness and awareness through the art

Who I'd like to meet:
Are you a sex worker? Are you radical? So are we!
Join our recently-formed group, SWANK (Sex Workers Action New yorK) as we strengthen our community by exploring our experiences.
This meeting is open to current and former sex workers of all genders and backgrounds (including but not limited to: prostitutes, hustlers, peep shop workers, exotic dancers, escorts, porn actors, pro-dominants, fetish models, webcam workers, phone sex operators, etc.).
Closed Meetings - SWANK
SUMMER SCHEDULE: We have closed (for current/former workers) meetings the first Tuesday of the month.
Open Meetings - SWOP-NYC
We have open (to current/former workers & allies) meetings the third Thursday of the month. To find out more information, like meeting locations, contact swank@riseup.net.
