InfluencesThe crew of the north atlantic fishing trawler "Barnacle" fell on hard times due to heavy over fishing by Scandinavian drag net ships, dwindling yield has driven "the Barnacles" to look for a new means of income! They listened to the treacherous cliffs of main land, and what did they hear but Rock and Roll! "It's not so different from our Shanties or a Hornpipes" they declared..... daniel pencavel's "ho bowline haul" and popeye kickin' some nazi snitzels
Sounds Likerock and roll is a ship on choppy waters!

Hey 'Hard Rains Gonna Fall' sounded pretty good to us; in fact the whole set did! We really enjoyed it! Well played. If you talk Ralph into having us down there again we promise to nail 'Dreamhome' ok? :-)

We really enjoyed the whole night and you were brilliant; well done!

Very entertaining session this morning everyone, certainly made my shift at Oxfam go a bit quicker. That Norfolk fisherman impression was quite bizarre though.

Hello Stu. Pleased your haircut did the job- I'm most impressed with the hand-clippers, and will endeavour to use 'em more in future. I've gone from no work to far too much work in the space of a mere week, and am absolutely knackered, but at least I'm a-getting paid finally. I might give yer a bell this weekend and claim my pinta in one boring pub or other- there're plenty to choose from. Happy promise of another weekend. X

Yes folks, we’re out of hibernation and at it again, with three out-of-town venues for you sophisticated urbanites…

First, we will be at Cabaret Heaven in Hebden Bridge on Sat 23rd Feb 2008. Entry is £9, £7 for members. Doors 8.30.
(Venue; Hebden Bridge Trades Club, Holme St, Hebden Bridge. Hebden Bridge is on the A646 between Halifax and Burnley. Go to the traffic lights in the middle of Hebden Bridge, the venue is 100 yards down Holme St. It is 10 minutes walk from the railway station with direct connections to Leeds and Manchester taking 50 minutes. Venue phone 01422 845265.)

Secondly, we will be playing at the Black Cotton Club at Volupte, 7-9 Norwich St, London EC4A 1EJ on Saturday 8th March.
If you want to attend this one, and we STRONGLY suggest you do, we can get you in for cheap. Send us your names before 5th March, and you’ll be on the paying guest list for the knockdown price of £7. It doesn’t guarantee you entry though, so if you’re coming from any distance, get there early- doors are from 10pm. Check out http://www.myspace.com/blackcottonclub for all the good reasons you want to come to this one.

Lastly, we’re back with Cabaret Heaven on fri 14 mar at the Old Courthouse Arts Centre, Otley.

For those of you who don’t fancy venturing too far from the Black Prince, we’re back at the Packhorse in April, details nearer the time.

Stay sleazy, Dr Bordello.
