We Are The Branches combines aspects of rock, metal, and powerpop coalescing the genres into something that proves to be fresh and innovative in an often stagnant and boring sea of cliched sounding bands.
The mix is heavey and chunky guitar tone, melodic hooks with emotive force, and a pure rock and roll mentality that favors rocking over following any "sound" or musical trend.
Add Todd Hanson's lyrical approach; honest, sarcastic, possibly a tad bit cynical at times, and directly to the point and you've got a recipe for something that will make you laugh, cry, and then spiral you into a depression that only more We Are The Branches can cure.
