A few things about the band: We Are The Business was conceived in 2009 by the band members who today make up the creative department of the group and affectionately refer to themselves as "The Business”. The Business also likes to refer to its audience/fans as "The Staff". Management is referred to as "Administration".
FUN FACTS:
- Irv walks around with a cane due to a hockey injury he endured during his 2nd season playing for the Florida Gators. It was made worse after a car accident a few years later, and he's needed the cane ever since.
- Greg is the former bass player from local Miami metal band "Fugitive".
- Give Her The Business is a euphemism for making love.
- Martin was once ranked 70 in the world on Call of Duty 4 before his PS3 got fried. It's getting fixed, so he'll be back on top soon.
- Since Martins PS3 got fried his new hobby is fucking chickens.
- Members of the band and clique are also known as the "Free Bird Kids" at certain bars in the Cutler Bay area.
- Winder used to be the drummer for Black Tide. He demoed for the album, and showcased with the band for Atlantic and Interscope records.
- Martin was once accused of being a terrorist by his teacher for being "too quiet" in class, which resulted in him being pulled out of class by the police. After a brief investigation, it was later determined that the teacher was an idiot.
- Greg has a history of making out with MILFs and/or Cougars at bars in the Cutler Bay area. So, essentially...watch out for your mothers.
- Winder never got credit from Black Tide for his role in the band. :(
- On Jun 25, 2009 4:36 PM Alberto (former bandmate of Greg's) left a comment on this profile that he was the inspiration for "Leave It All Behind"; he started the song as a joke and it turned into a real song. His claims are true.
- The Business frowns on Bono. He will forever be number 2.
