The Dissenters are a lo-fi alternative-rock duo.
The Dissenters formed initially as an acoustic side project, during a busy time of gigging with their former band 'kings Of Small Talk’ in 2009.
The Dissenters are inspired by music from all across the board, and times, specifially garage rock, singer/songwriter, lo-fi recording, blues, Minimalism and alternative.
The Dissenters writing and music is influenced by their own life and the everyday happenings that they may encounter/have encountered already, the good, the bad and the downright right insane.
The Dissenters music is performed live in its truest form, they try to perform the way they will record and record the way they will perform.
The Dissenters play the music that they want to play from their heart, they do not want to fool you, they do not want to change you, they want you to make up your own mind about what you choose/choose not to see or hear.

I too was a dissenter in my last band, where I was forced to play synth/keys and STFU. Can't say I dug my electro-queerness very much. I mean, yeah, sure, I was awesome, but the songs...too shallow.
Now I am a descender, witness me as I descend into the depths of the earth. Perhaps I am mining some treasure, perhaps I am mooning someone as I do my pooping. Who knows? Who cares? Anyway, there I was, doing it with myself.
