The Duchesses are a diverse four-piece hailing from Sydney and parts beyond. Their sound transverses a wide sonic landscape from power pop/rock to post-punk and post-rock and lightly seasoned with the occasional loop. Sometimes angular and rhythmic, other times sweeping and atmospheric, the duchesses are always melodic and catchy.
They have played venues around Sydney including the Hopetoun, the Metro transit lounge, Home nightclub, Ruby Rabbit, @Newtown, the Marquee and the Annandale. There are many more shows coming in the future so watch this myspace for gig details and up and coming demos. Our debut single 'Your Great Escape' is now available at Fish Records in King St, Newtown.
