Preceding the summer of 2006, The Flow was yet to be concieved. In fact, it existed of only one man, a poet named matthias aka matt shirley. Having moved to Tulsa, OK in May 2006 matthias connected with a family consisting of two brothers, twins in fact. As the summer progressed, they began to collaborate, merging their genres and musical influences together. Their muses sought to converge the Spoken Word with latinesque guitar riffs, tribal triphop beats and soulful background vocals. The result, seemingly to odd to label, was simply named "The Flow." Adding to their entourage, The Flow sought guidance from the HOLY SPIRIT to further enhance their sound and to make their live performances less about show and more about worship.
Given the circumstances, The Flow has become more than just a name, but a mission. It is a band that seeks to press in the SPIRIT, making manifests the beauty of creation through music, the spoken word & visual media. WeAreTheFlow.
If you and Casey are out in Calif for Spring Break come and See Todd and I you can stay with us. and Speak at the youth Group. Remember great memories last spring break in Calif. We have a nice big house now and you can have your own room. Love the Adams

I guess technically I'm in both bands, but Shadows never does anything. There's been talk of a show or two sometime soon here, but Before Normandy's pretty busy. We've just been through some member changes and now we're looking for a bass player, as well as recording and buying a van.
Touring California sounds awesome. I can't wait to do that one day.
