The Fusiliers are a 5 piece outfit based in Edinburgh, Scotland and formed in April 2007. The Fusiliers are ‘Brutal Pop’
Fast becoming one of the most talked about bands in Scotland, “Brutal Pop” outfit The Fusiliers have been voted artist of the week by listeners of XFM, have had extensive radio airplay in the UK and USA, appeared as a featured artist at the legendary King Tut’s “Your Sound” event as well as being made student paper ScotCampus’ musicians of the month.
Since launching their debut EP in summer 2008, The Fusiliers have gone from strength to strength gaining extensive press coverage from the likes of The List, Is This Music?, The Fly and The Scotsman to name but a few. In January 09, The Fusiliers were selected from more than 1500 acts to take part in Red Stripe Music Festival. May saw The Fusiliers picked to play two sets at the “International Pop Overthrow Festival” at the legendary Cavern Club in Liverpool. In June the band were lined up as a headline act at this years Leith Festival in Edinburgh.
The band are now gearing up for what promises to be a busy end to 2009, with gigs planned across Scotland, before heading into the studio in early 2010 to work on their debut album.
