The shows that are set to begin every weekend at the Crown Jewel Lounge, were originally arranged to be on Fridays beginning on Friday, November7th. This is NO LONGER the case.
The venue owners have been so gracious to let us have Saturdays from the get-go. That way we can be consistent with people. They can trust that a Local/Regional Rock show will happen EVERY Saturday from November 8th forward.

How bands get paid at Crown Jewel Lounge Shows How do you get paid for Crown Jewel Lounge Shows? The bar owners take a 50% cut, and the bands split the other 50%. The bill will never have more than 4 bands on a single night. The more people you tell about the show, the more money you make. Nobody's gonna pay you except you! We're here to help. We'll post not only your Crown Jewel Shows, but everything else you ask us to! We're here to HELP the local music scene.
We're out to break up the elitist Nazi's who dominate our local stages with the same redundant shows every weekend. We're pushing for the underdog! More successful bands in our area who are on-board with us include O'Fallon and Artifakt.
These guys want you to see what we can do when we all band together for a cause! If the first thing you message back to us when we ask if you'd like the opportunity to show your stuff at the Crown Jewel is,"Well How much will YOU pay US," then you are not in it for the right reasons.
You are part of the problem! If you get back with us and say something to the effect, "Dude, I wanna change our scene for the better, let's do this," then you're in it for the right reasons and YOU are the BIGGEST part of the solution! We can do this, together!
1. Tell 5 people that don't come to shows yet, and tell them to tell 2 of their friends. if 10 of us (the kids that go to shows) make 5 new kids go to a show and you tell them to make 2 of their friends to go we would have enough kids to save our scene.
2. Stop being dicks! Stupid fight is a waste of time I can’t remember the last time there was a fight that was worth fighting. Support all the bands at a show touring bands and the locals. I don't if you think they blow or not stay inside. Smoking I don't do it but you could smoke a few fags in between sets.
3. .ADD Virtual World Promotions they are unbiased and try to help everyone by reposting flyers and they message the people in a bands target area. They don't manage any bands and hate that negativity crap. They will hook up some bands with a new Carbondale venue (which we'll be booking soon). http://www. myspace. com/virtualworldpromotions
