THE HUMANS are three people.
TOYAH WILLCOX, BILL RIEFLIN and CHRIS WONG. Rieflin comes from the opposite side of the world to Willcox and Wong, and from radically different musical backgrounds, they are bringing together life times of musical experience. Song previews can be heard in the MySpace player on this page.
THE HUMANS live show is song based but the songs are deconstructed down to the bones of raw experience exposing human nature and irony. Comparisons are always misleading but if The White Stripes met with the vocal adventures of Lou Reed, Kate Bush, Gabriel and Beefheart then you might get a flavour of things to come...
THE HUMANS recorded an album in Seattle, USA this February which will be released in May 2009 as a strictly limited edition Estonian Edition CD to commemorate the band's gig at Tartufest.
You made an absolutely great, very intelligent album, listenting to it since its first release. LOVE it, especially „This belongs to you“, „Demigod“ and „Twisted soul“. For me, it is a sensitive, fabulous reflection of nearly three decades of your music. A masterpiece - thank you! P.S: The new version „Bootz“ is stunning – congratulations to this fantastic project!

Thoroughly enjoying the album, which landed via Markus today - Best new CD I've listened to this year. Especially loving 'Is It Wrong' & 'Labyrinth', but it's all good...

We Are The Humans- how good does it sound, well done all, some truely amazing tracks, This Belongs To You, Demigod, Tisted Soul and Noise In Your Head have to be my favourites so far.
A nice present from the Humans in my letterbox today! Really interesting and great sounds. Telekenisis has to be the most bizarre song Toyah has recorded, could almost be a They Might Be Giants track, I like it! Highlights for me: Twisted Soul, Demigod, Noise In Your Head. Vocals sound fantastic. Well done all, hope you do a UK gig.
Welcome to Billy's Bunker (Music Reviews)! It's been busy in the Bunker.
The latest review is Adrian Belew's "Side Two," which CD is good evidence that brother Adrian has become a full bodied 21st Century composer with a syntax of instrumental meaning from the chrysalis of Nuevo Metal born.
