About the moods

We are The moods..... we know what we think the rest is up to you. here are some comments from other folk..... James masters Clash magazine.... The Moods.... Really liked these lads when I saw them live and the demo doesn’t disappoint either. Bringing forth a groovy sense of Mancunian melancholy and threat, they pursue a more modern stylish take on traditional singalong baggy. Somewhat Doves, a touch of James but with smart, updated edges, the choruses prove bonanza, hands in the air, “have that” moments married to shuffling, shoulder swinging beats. Very Second Coming inspired, especially on the intro to the stirring “Plastic Cherry Girl”, The Moods are tuneful, deep and direct enough to wow many an audience........ http://www.clashmusic.com/feature/city-best-rest......... Ste Rice.	Aug 14 2008 9:41 AM Blue Skied and Clear Alright, first I should mention that our gig on Friday is off. This is due to horrific communication breakdown between the band. Apologies. More importantly: our album exists in a 'real' form. We've been talking it up for about a year now, but now it exists and you can own it, as I'm sure many of you do. Speaking for myself, though I'm sure Chris and Ste would agree, it's something of a relief. We've worked bloody hard on this, Ste especially deserves his kudos for his skill in working the recording equipment, and to be actually able to hold a CD with our name on it at last is something of a validation. And, if I can say so myself, it's a fine album of great songs that I'm proud to play to anyone who'll listen. It says exactly what we (and I apologise to the others for speaking for us all here) want to say. We've been working away on this band for three years now, and it was worth it for this. For anyone who would like a copy and doesn't have one, by the way, drop a message or contact a band member and we'll sort one out ASAP. In other news, we're getting prepped for our big trip over the channel to Europe next week. Our eternal thanks, once again, go to Tom and everyone in RX-Only for this chance to expand our horizons on the travel front and for the chance to play at their festival

Far as new bands go im into backhanded compliments, the tides and orphan boy but you've probabaly heard of em already. everythings sound in general though cheers mate, hows yourself? :)
