About The Retreat

Inspired by straight forward rock, indie rock, alternative and classic rock from decades past, The Retreat brings music lovers a sound that is edgey, meaningful, neoteric and rocking. The Retreat draws on influences all over the spectrum and delivers something that is instantly momentous.

The band was formed in early 2009. Vocalist Curt Jones and bassist Pawel Szaryk started writing songs together in mid 2008 after their previous band had parted ways. The following winter, Curt and Pawel met guitarist Justin Black, who then introduced drummer Paul Gillespie to the group.

The Retreat are recording new songs this summer and planning a release in the near future. Check back for more updates on upcoming live shows and new songs.
