In less than 12 months Mr and Mrs have already recorded an ep in Nashville Tennessee with top producer Chris Donohue, who has worked with the likes of Elvis Costello, Emmylou Harris and Ben Folds. And are set to have their first release in the new year on Fellside records. They have stunned audiences at this summer's festivals, including Fell Foot Wood, Kendal Calling and Solfest. They have recorded a video and are set to have their track, 'Cut All Strings', used on an HBO documentary.
"Cut All Strings" has already been featured on Myspace Mars Planets Radio as 'Track of the Week'; it has been played on Steve Lamacq's '6Extra' show and has been 'Listener's Choice' on Steve Lamacq's Radio 2 show.
The track is taken from their Nashville ep, a veritable curiosity shop of obscure folk, indie rock and bizarre ballads, where Kate Bush serves behind the counter and The Incredible String Band stock the shelves.
