"Suede assisting Tom Waits in trying to squeeze the corpse of Joy Division through a spaghetti-western-shaped tube."
- Are You Familiar?
"Stellar bands like The Weather come around once every 100 years."
- Chris-A-Riffic
"The Weather's vocalist had a bit of a David Byrne thing with a side of Tom Waits for the first couple songs. They moved on to some very fresh, even jazzy numbers and dove right back in to the rock without dropping a beat. This is some pro work here by people who LOVE what they're doing. Exceptional."
- Beyond Robson
"The only unsigned local band's whose full length album I enjoyed from first to last song this year."
- Deftone
"It's not a secret that I adore the canadian Indiescene. I've just discoverd this new act from Vancouver. They call themself The Weather, and their style of music is somewhere between pop and folk in a rather slagger kinda way."
- Docopenhagen
I dont know why it took me so long...
but I've been listening to your album nonstop the last couple weeks... its really amazing!! I heard there's a label gonna release it all proper-like.... good stuff!! Good luck!!! Friends!!!!!
Ok, so i just took the time for a listen and am so glad i did!! The Weather is for real yo!! I guess it's not often you can say you like the weather.....
I saw you guys play at the lamplighter like 1.5 years ago.. it ruled! I was trashed, and insisted on buying your bass player a beer. He was pretty weired out by me, but drank the beer anyway... a class act all around. come play portland!
Thanks to you as well for last night's show!!!! We had lots of fun, and really enjoyed both your set and Concrete Lions. We'll have to do more shows in future.
Raddest Barbeque Ever. Nice meeting you two weekends ago chaps (and again Happy Birthday Elizabeth). I'm sure we will run into one another at the space and shows.
I am listening to some 'Stolen Billions' this eve. And damn...nice work all of you. The record sounds great and even more importantly, it is an excellent representation of you. The guitars in particular sound excellent....and other than "No More" skipping due to some CD-r mishaps...I am very very happy at this moment! Good Work Weather!
Ok, so even though I love you 5 more than life itself, organize your practice space and fill your instruments with cocaine and diazapam, I am still not in your top 8!
FUCK YOU WEATHER, I HOPE IT RAINS ON STAGE (like it is raining in my heart).
So do I just knock on the Weather House door and say "lonely" like 3 times? Do I just think it and The Weather appears to make me unlonely? Where do I insert the lonely!?
