hi Webby ' ) yep the water is beautiful in the summer,.the lake is just a few minutes away and the river? heck yea you can swim in it,.I used to all the time,.but the younger kids do all summer long of that railing, they jump in and let the current take em down a way and then grab a latter ( that are all along the railing )and do it all over again,lol,.but you really need to know the current,.like I mentioned before,people drown in the river every year,.its "swim at your own risk" enjoy the rest of your week dear! hugs!
