All proceeds will go to a charity, Changemakers, (Changemakers.org), a non-profit that raises funds for other socially conscious companies.

The name of the series, 8th Notes From Underground, is a play on the title of the book by Dostoevsky Notes From Underground, whose main character is a bitter existentialist who lives a life of "conscious inertia."
But since this is a series designed to "activate" the activists, our goal is fight the apathy and "conscious inertia" and merge our music community with the activist communities here in SF.
Basically, we want these events to be about something more than just listening to music. So
