Clad Axis's Profile
To define Webster Poe would be more accurately experienced in a live show environment. As do the hearts and minds of the musicians involved; their music swings from ambitious pop to meaningful ballads to dance hall to downright angry introspective rock. Always fresh, always honest, and consistently evolving to produce the best from their collective creativity.
The band is a band of brothers. Bill Richardson and Travis McCue started playing together 12 years ago; essentially learning their respective instruments together. Jake joined the band in 2000, immediately after meeting the two and finding rock solid common musical ground. They enjoyed this line-up until landing keyboardist extraordinaire Scott Mast in 2004. Bill, Jake, and Scott all currently work together at Axes Music Inc in Frankfort, IL, teaching, managing, and producing. Jamie Stewart had been around the same circuit for quite some time and when the time was right; the Poe snagged him up to replace retiring drummer Ben Peters.
This is the core line-up. They do, on occasion, have guests and friends join on stage and in the studio. There are always surprises at every Poe gathering; so you don’t want to miss an opportunity to see these boys PLAY!
Also, Bill and Jake host a podcast featuring all of our original and multi-talented friends and constituents. You can tune-in @ www.cladaxis.com
Current booking is available at cladaxis@yahoo.com and Webster Poe is currently working on a full-length Album. Stay Tuned!
