How a major illness proved to be my biggest, but most rewarding challenge!
Hi there, my name is Kel Fothergill and I am the creator and contributing author to WebWealthSystems.com

The reason I started this MySpace profile is because I had been working in the military for the last twenty-six years. Wait stop…I know what your thinking (I think)…’26 years in one lousy job, how could he do it?’ But it’s not just one job I did a host of different jobs over that time and learnt a hell of a lot. The problem was that something happened to me that I never expected, I got sick, really sick. But before I get into all that…let me just share just a little more about myself.
I grew up in a small town just north of Melbourne, Australia. I had a good childhood; we lived in your basic weatherboard house on a huge block of land where my brother and I played many games of football and cricket. I am the eldest of three children, I have a brother and a baby sister, dad and mum are still doing great after nearly fifty years of marriage. I did all my schooling in the one town and played a lot of sports as a teenager. I captained the school football, basketball and tennis teams as well as playing school cricket. I love watching aussie rules football (Go Bombers!) and cricket.
The military was my first and only job. My early background was in education and training where, as a junior I was mainly involved in training tools and equipment. I could produce the best whiz, bang overhead slides you have ever seen – remember overhead slides? My work experiences since then have been broad ranging and have included quality management, training management, medical administration and financial management. My last seven years have been spent in training and development where I spent time up front teaching and facilitating, tutoring on distance learning courses and course evaluation. All this was done against a background of human resource management.
I got married when I was 20 to my wife now of 27 years and we have two lovely daughters. I went straight from school to join the military where I initially applied to be a pilot but ended up as an administrator. During the twenty-six years in the military I had many different jobs and lived, with my family, all over Australia. Of course, my jobs took me to lots of different places all over the world. During this time I picked up several tertiary qualifications in training, human resource and quality management. I have broad ranging management experience in the areas of aircraft maintenance, health, training and education. My training roles have included course design, curricula development, workplace assessment, tutoring and course facilitation.
I love traveling and have traveled widely, I enjoy good food and fine dining and I enjoy sharing this with our friends and family.
I enjoy listening to lots of different types of music depending on the mood I’m in. AC/DC, Robbie Williams, The Police, Queen and classical music just to name a few.
Then came the challenge!
I did get really ill - I was sleeping more than 16 hours a day and still waking up tired. What is more to the point though is that I could no longer stay in the military. I took two years off recovering from illness as best I could - there is no cure - while living on a military pension, my wife continued to work. We lived comfortably but knew that when she stopped work the pension was never going to create the lifestyle we required.
Ch..Ch..Changes
I had only worked in a job that, like most other jobs, traded a unit of time for a unit of money. So my wife and I looked for something that could add residual income, I was thinking of mortgage broking. We already had a significant real estate portfolio and I had picked up a lot of hints and tips while building my portfolio, so why not?
I thought quite deeply about going into broking. Research was the key! But after asking a couple of brokers that I knew I quickly found out that most were working upto 80 hours a week, over the whole 7 days. I knew I didn't want to get into that.
My Re-introduction to Multi Level Marketing (MLM)
We were still looking for something when my wife, who was working for a small company at the time, was introduced to MLM company endorsed by Donald Trump. This company was operating throughout the world and just new into Australia.
The Law Of Attraction Really Delivers!
One of the executives of the company came to our home and did a presentation for us, it sounded great so we just had to give it a go. We had not touched MLM for over 20 years and certainly didn’t think it would be our saviour. It’s amazing when you just put the thoughts out there what you attract!
Web 2.0 Technologies and My Story Marketing
This company is really going great, we are earning a good income from it now but we knew it could do a lot better. I asked myself what were the high flyers doing that I wasn’t? I struck gold when I ran into this guy Dennis Kaganilla. I always thought MySpace was for kids but this guy got me straightened out. Now I have high quality, laser targeted, free leads and traffic chasing me! If you would like to know more about this click here.

Stopping by to say thank you. I have been down with a bug the last few days and it is nice to be back up and functioning again. Saturday morning I had a wonderful time with around 60 seniors at a breakfast talking about how the mind works and it was fun and exciting to watch them smile and appreciate just what they have become over the years.
I bet that each one of you have also some wonderful stories and memories as well. I was thinking this morning that we spend so much time talking to each other about things that really don't matter that it might be nice to talk to our friends about things that do.
For instance do you remember that time you felt completely loved by someone? What was it that allowed you to feel that? Do you know what it was that your friends and family experienced that allowed them to experience it as well. Other memories to ask about might be the first time you felt like you could conquer the world? How about the first time you felt excited to do something? The first time you knew you were in love? What would you like to feel today and after you have that answer think of a time when you did and if you have never felt that way ask yourself what you would want it to feel like and create that.
You could if you wanted to change anyone's life with a simple question.
