Arts person - producing, consultancy, fundraising, project management, artist development and all that stuff... Mostly music and contemporary dance based but crossing those artform boundaries is where the inspiration is for me...
Until May of 2006 I was the General Manager of Punch Records in Birmingham. Whilst there I did some really interesting work including producing music, dance and visual art projects and working with some amazing artists - most of whom you'll see listed in my friends section. I also organised DJs for Life - a major international conference featuring over 35 of the world's best DJs. Good times.
Right now I've moved out to Shropshire where I'm connecting with my rural self. I'm doing bits of freelance arts consultancy, project management, producing, artist development and all that kind of stuff under the company name Wechtie, hence my myspace address. At the time being though, that's all on hold as I have a contract with DanceXchange in Birmingham, managing and programming the Patrick Centre theatre.
Basically what I do is try to help people to work out what they want to do and then help them to do it. Which is fun.
