    Susan started playing violin at an early age under the direction of Katherine Sasaki of The Katherine Sasaki Suzuki Violin School Academy. After her completion of the Academy, she studied with Anne Foreman. During her adolescent career she performed with various groups including the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra and Northwest Symphony Orchestra. She received scholarships to attend master violin workshops at the Universities of Illinois, Eastern Illinois and Madison. She has taken improvizational classes with Jazz Violinist Randy Sabien. Susan is a member of the Fiddle Players Union, Suzuki Academy Association, Southwestern Bluegrass Music Association, and Southern Old Timer Fiddle Association. Although Susan's formal training was classical. Being from the South, her heart and soul belong to Dixie. She's been playing bluegrass and country for 15 years. Known in the South as "Susie the Wedding Fiddler." Susan is in high-demand as the wedding fiddler and is a premier artist in the wedding industry. Susan travels all over to perform any indoor/outdoor venue from backyard barbeques to black tie events! Susan is based in Alabama. She is in high demand in Nashville, Birmingham, and Chattanooga.     My fiddle influences are Charlie Daniels, Mark O'Connor and Ms. Alison Krauss. My music influences range as follows: Ann Murray, Earl Scruggs, Eddie Rabbit, Johnny Cash, The White Family, Carter Family, Leonard Cohen, Elvis Presley, Van Morrison, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Stevie Nicks, Neil Diamond, Alabama, Dixie Chicks, Sheryl Crow, Lynrd Skynrd, Conway Twitty, Loretta Lynn, Patsy Cline, Toby Keith, Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood, LeAnn Womack, Lady Antebellum, George Strait, Barry Manillow, Ronnie Milsap, Sammy Kershaw, Tanya Tucker. There are too many to list. All I can say is this when its time to meet my maker, I will have one heck of a good time...lol... There are too many great artists to list them all, but all genres really influenced me but bluegrass and country place a big part in my life and my stylings of music. God bless them all.
