After a fire in June of 2004 destroyed what had been known for years as Head of Island Grocery and with more than enough groceries for a community this size, it was decided to open something that is new to this area. It has been owned and operated by Weedy, Judy, and Travis Wederstandt, with the men having heavy sports backgrounds Weedy playing semi-pro baseball for years, and Travis having just completed 5 years of college baseball, Weedy's Sports Bar and Grill was created. We appreciated your business and hope you will visit us often to enjoy our friendly, family atmosphere and good food, both familiar and unique. We serve all kinds of food to fit the appetite of everyone. A full menu is available under the blogs just above. We have bands playing just about every night of the weekend. Our usual bands are Soul Haven (Cam Pyle), Dj VEMA, Dj Shocker, Ambience, Stone Envie, Barcode, Side Effects, The Anteeks, Billboard, La Sunshine, Fly-by-nite, One Night Only, Yeah You Right, Kane Glaze, The Hospice Band, Prime Time, and many more to come. On a usual Thursday night we have some of the best karaoke around.
