WEEKEND REVOLUTION is a live music night run by Dunfermline band BEATNIC PRESTIGE. We started through the need for a good local music scene in 'the toon' and every night so far has been a flying success. From it's sell out debut upstairs in 'Sinky's' in April 2006, to the monu'mental' nights in PJ Molloys, we can safely say we've had some of the best live music nights Dunfermline has seen in recent years. We've had bands like The View, Sergeant, The Law, The Brogues, Beatnic Prestige, The Draymin, Root System, The Manikees, Val Verde, Figure5, Skinflints, The Modern Faces all play our nights and it's credit to them our nights are so good.
2008 was a fantastic year for WEEKEND REVOLUTION and 2009 promises to be nothing short of spectacular.
2009 started off with Beatnic Prestige's EP Party in PJ Molloys on January 31st. This night sold out by 9.30pm and was a great show for Beatnic and Weekend Revolution.
The year has continued with the announcement of FifeFest throughout Dunfermline from July 16th to August 27th. This is 12 shows over the space of 6 weeks and has some fantastic bands involved including From The Jam, Sergeant, The Ray Summers, Beatnic Prestige, The Sunshine Underground, The Law, Tango in the Attic, The Shermans, Luva Anna, Val Verde, Modern Faces, Crayons, Root System and more.
We hope you can make it along to one of the upcoming shows and show your support for the up and coming bands getting their chance.
Pearfect!
