For 10 years, WeekendTRIP has witnessed the development of music talents and the music industry by being a forerunner in creating a platform for local talent showcase.
From a monthly showcase, WeekendTRIP 2009 has grown into quarterly 2-day music festivals, creating possible milestone performances for local acts, with the infusion of regional talents through seasoned event organisers and former Baybeats Festival producers, Wake Me Up Music. WMUM will be Co producing this installment of WeekendTRIP.
To launch this new and improved platform, WeekendTRIP will be programme-partnering Noise Singapore for the month of March ‘09 only, bringing in a varied showcase of music talents beyond its regular genre of Punk/Indie/Alternative rock. Some acts to watch out for - Sandwich (Philippines), BitterSweet (Malaysia), popular up and coming acts Silhouette, Caracal and King Kong Jane, Duxton Plains amongst a myriad of other interesting musicians such as a musical Collaboration between Jon Chan (Plain Sunset) + Kevin Mathews (The Watchmen)
