Band Bio

Weeping Silence are a Female fronted Metal band formed in the mid-‘90s. Weeping Silence released their debut album 'Deprived from Romance' in 2000, with a track from this album also being featured on a compilation CD entitled Arch Music Compilation.

Following the release of ‘Deprived from Romance’ Sean Pollacco joined on bass and Rachel Grech on vocals. Rachel added power with her strong voice, pushing the band into new territory within the local metal scene. Weeping Silence recorded their second album entitled ‘End of an Era’, at Temple Studios.

Soon after the recording of ‘End of an Era’ guitarist Raphael Grech was replaced by Toni Farrugia (Dilapidated, Orbus Vitae, Amentia). Later, the band finalised a deal with Mexican Label 'Divenia Records', for the release of ‘End of an Era’. Unfortunately, the deal fell apart during the following year as Divenia ran out of funds and closed down. The long awaited break came when Weeping Silence signed to Greek Label 'Sleaszy Rider Records' and 'End of an Era' was eventually released in 2008.

The band have now recorded their third album at Temple Studios. The material on this record is heavier than previous work and features an ensemble from Enkor Choir Malta. It retains the atmosphere and melancholy which are synonymous to Weeping Silence. Weeping Silence are currently searching for a new label to release their latest album

Mario Cilia was replaced by talented pianist and keyboardist Alison Ellul, after the recording. With three albums under the belt, the band is as committed as ever to improve on previous material. Vocalist Joseph Grech has now joined Weeping Silence and the band has new material which will surely surprise most metal fans with its blend of feel and heaviness.
