(weewerk) is a tiny record label/management company based in Toronto, Canada. (weewerk) was founded in 2002 as an art-and-music salon series in the Toronto apartment of indie-rock impresario Phil Klygo (Skull Geek, teenage USA) and visual artist / curator
Germaine Koh.
------------- (weewerk) has released records by ambient folk wonders GREAT LAKE SWIMMERS, including the debut album "Great Lake Swimmers", 2005s' "Bodies and Minds", and their third entitled "Ongiara" on a beautiful gatefold LP; the raucous ELLIOTT BROOD debut "Tin Type", the langorous BARZIN record "My Life In Rooms", THE BARMITZVAH BROTHERS "Mr Bones Walk-In Closet" and their 2007 record "Let's Express Our Motives", THE UNITED STEEL WORKERS OF MONTREAL 2006 debut "Broken Trucks and Bottles" and the explosive 2007 release "Kerosene & Coal", the alt-countrified OX album "American Lo Fi", the miraculous fourth album from TWO-MINUTE MIRACLES "The Lions of Love",
their first International artist, HARMONICA, from Oslo, Norway, who create sweet and danceable indie pop-rock on their limited edition EP “Miaow, Miaow…BARK!”
