Hailing from the Irish Midlands musical hotbed of Mullingar, We Go Go formed in March 2009, bringing together three former members of alternative pop rock band Tornado Lovely with new bassist Keith Naughton. The band immediately entered the studio and recorded two songs.
The band then spent several months writing and rehearsing, and played their first gig opening for The Kinetiks and Angel Pier in The Stables Mullingar. Gigs all over the country soon followed, including shows in Dublin, Cork, Galway, Limerick, Belfast and Waterford, as well as many shows in their hometown of Mullingar. We Go Go have earned a reputation as an exciting live band, with blistering sets often coming to a destructive (and noisy) end. This has gained them some very welcome comparisons to such noted alternative rock bands as Biffy Clyro and the Foo Fighters.
Their debut single, Nitpicker, was released on October 9th 2009 and rocketed to number four on the downloadmusic.ie charts. The song is currently available fom i-tunes, cd baby, downloadmusic.ie and all good online retailers.
With their use of shifting dynamics and tight harmonies, We Go Go are the type of band that your mother likes... Until she hears the b-side.

Ever wondered what to do in the event of a nuclear threat?
A while ago I found stuff that inspired me to make this film:
Living Under the Shadow of the Nuclear Umbrella
Both artistic (ensure you get the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice.
Though source materials are quite aged, much remains relevant today.

The fact that my new album ‘Tickety-Boo’ is being released to record shops and on iTunes on Friday, September 25 with a show in The Village, Wexford St featuring a full 8 piece band + guests Arrow in the Sky and The Last Tycoons, is purely coincidental.
