We Happy Few formed in 2006 in South West London and quickly gelled as a band. All four members had experience in bands, regularly playing live in both London and Manchester. They quickly began writing new songs and the combination of guitar, piano, double bass, drums and the occasional use of the accordion and mandolin gave an original sound, with an alternative blues feel. This led to regular gigs around South West London and they quickly gathered a committed following, who enjoyed the upbeat positive sound and passion for live performances. As the song writing developed, the band began work on a concept album titled ‘Should Have Seen it Coming’. Set in 19th Century America, it tells the fictional story of a Gold Rush pioneer and his inner-conflict between love and the pursuit of money. Their first EP was released in March 2008, and you will be able to download the album from itunes from 22nd sept (or buy it below). They are also currently the featured blues artist on muzinc.com, and are being played on Blues Radio UK.
