Since their formation in April of 2006, the members of Weigh Station have become a strong, dynamic, and creative force in the Charleston music scene. They have headlined Charleston's largest music venues such as the Music Farm and The Pour House while playing extensively across the Carolina's at private parties, weddings, clubs and bars. When not playing gigs, each member of Weigh Station contributes in the songwriting process which creates an eclectic and unique sound. They've combined the sounds of harmonizing guitars and vocals, forceful drum beats, jazz bass and smooth saxophone to create a sound unlike any other. Blending rock, blues, funk and a touch of jazz, Weigh Station diversifies each venue at which they play. Their sound has been described as harder funk rock, and dirty southern soul.
