People Lie, started The Canonical List of Weird Band Names back in 1995 as an amusing side project. A year or two later, we handed it over to a fan named Chelle, who lovingly maintained the site for a while before moving on to other things. While Googling
down memory lane, we discovered that our beloved list had been mentioned or completely reproduced on hundreds of web sites. This odd success from our long-gone youth has inspired us to take up the site again. Hey, we're too old for the mosh pit now, but we're not too old to laugh. Yet.
