"Ticklin' The Strings" by Sweet Hollywaiians
Amazing Japanese hot string band playing 1920's, 30's, 40's style hawaiian, swing, calypso, blues, italian music and originals, featuring vintage instruments.3 songs with Robert Armstrong and Tony Marcus(from Robert Crumb and His Cheap Suit Serenaders)
"The Sweet Hollywaiians have probably the best feel for this 20's music of any string band working today. They manage the rare feat of sounding relaxed even when their playing is hot, are top notch musicians with tasteful arrangements and a full, rich, warm sound.Plus, they have a nice gamut of tunes, from King Nawahi to Giovanni Vicari to Bobby Leecan. See them live, if you can, for an unforgettable experience. If you can't, buy their Cds!" ~ Terry Zwigoff
Ah, sorry about that JWF. Sometimes when you haven't logged out properly Hughs been known to use your myspace / MSN... no biggy, he's just lazy like that.
So the H-man tied the knot huh? Well i'll have to congratulate him! Hows Jenny taking it? She always seemed to look up to Hugh as a father figure but every time i mention Lucie she starts cracking her knuckles and mumbling. Jealousy? Well, who wouldn't be :)
Anyway, you know me (from Nam) .... just working hard and playing hard (with napalm).
Hey jenny's weird friend you know i said i'd given up chocky for lent, well i got weighed this morning and in the last 2 weeks i've lost 2 and a half pounds yay me. So i treated myself to a cadburys wispa it was a bit moldy looking but i still ate it :-) And i also bought £15 worth of tattoo magazines they were full of pretty pictures. I've also given up alcohol as of today so now i don't smoke,i don't do drugs, and i don't drink,so i think that officially makes me STRAIGHT-EDGE YAY ME :-)
Hey thank's for the add my fiance bought the 1st issue of the relaunched dangerous ink last night from forbidden planet (newcastle). I read the jenny's weird friend comic strip and coulden't stop laughing it was very clever, and i look forward to reading many more :-)
