This book is a labor of love that was a decade in the making that has never before been collected, an engaging, mind bending story that bridges horror comics with political commentary, touches on quantum string theory, Hemp and the Marijuana conspiracy, military sexism, mind control and zombies. Combining elements of Horror, Fantasy and science fiction, WEIRDLING echoes the atmosphere of the movies ALIEN and EVENT HORIZON, providing a twisting, layered story in which the true meaning of the events seems constantly just beyond the readers grasp, and leading ultimately to a devastating finale in which the heroine must choose the more human of two unbearable futures, and somehow herself make a choice to survive when her whole reality has crumbled around her.

Anna Mandretta is a young woman on a submarine-like vessel submerged in the waters of an alien moon. At night, she enters a mandatory lucid- dream, which for her has taken on the life of an alternate reality, in which she is an aclaimed surgeon at a Lovecraftian University- Hospital. Unable to save the life of an infant afflicted with a hideous, hissing tumor, she is assaulted by the boy’s parents, who claim that he will be reborn to live for-ever and rule the world in the name of an ancient deity, Azag-thoth.
Anna is as unable to avoid the recurring dream as she is to escape her horrific reality, as a medic on the frontlines of a war against the mysterius Xax . It becomes apparent that someone has altered the normal course of Anna’s dream to bestow unnatural strength and powers on her- But is it her superiors on the ship, hoping to make of her a weapon against the Xax, or a hidden cult of Azag-thoth, working to summon the dark god to rule in Anna’s waking world?
This online tribute comic celebrates the characters that originally brought crime to comics. Gotham's Dark Knight has a run in with Chicago's finest as they both pursue Underworld's Gruesome. Last year we presented the first half of the story by Mike Heronime and Tom Davidson. Now PositiveBrand concludes the story with Mike Heronime and Kirk Harris.
