Modern rockers with vintage sensibilities: Weird Old America's Vaudeville is the new classic rock . . . Kicking things off with a minute-long Latin-flavored intro, Weird Old America whets your appetite for "Devil in A Dream," a powerhouse song with Santana-worthy guitar solos. The title track is next, a fantastically catchy piece that is arguably the best on the record. You'll have your lighters out for the power ballads "Sooner or Later" and "Carry Me Away," while the second half of the record has an especially Southern Rock drawl with cuts like "Checkpoint Charlie" bringing to mind the Allman Brothers . . . Vaudville is an excellent effort. ~Beeb Ashcroft
Drumhead Magazine
Weird Old America packs quite a punch with a dose of their blues infused alternative rock music. Hailing from New York City, fans of Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, and Eric Clapton are in for a real treat as the band combines scorching guitar riffs with catchy vocal hooks to create a sound of their own. Keep an eye out for this release.

Vaudeville displays an impressive repertoire of styles . . . Weird Old America delivers a raw, passionate rock album. ~Chris Homer

It’s rare to find young blues guitar demigods who are embodying the spirit of the music, not just aping it, and rarer still to find one who’s savvy and talented enough to incorporate other styles into the mix. fortunately for us all, transplanted Texan Nick Diaz and his power trio deliver on all of the above . . . . his stylistic breadth is impressive, too, covering the entire history of blues-rock . . . . smart guitar wizards are hard to come by. ~ Robert Fontenot
