About me:

A note from the Director: Lot's of good things are happening with Weirton Community Players! ..THIS PROFILE IS ..

a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization located in Weirton, West Virginia.

The mission of WCP is to provide a volunteer community-based musical, dance and dramatic performing arts organization for the purposes of:

  • Educating the youth of Weirton, WV and it’s surrounding communities in all aspects of the performing arts.
  • Providing mental, physical and performing arts educational programs to youth and adults to help them better understand and develop their talents and the importance of well-being.
  • Giving recognition and support to WCP staff and participants to enhance their self-esteem.
  • Providing hands-on learning experiences to youth and adults in all areas of theatre production.
  • Showcasing local talent.
  • Presenting high-quality theatrical family events and entertainment to the community several times throughout the course of a year.
